Faye Gregg Bishop, 81, died Thursday, August 21, 2014. A native of Wilmington, NC, she was a longtime Newport News resident. She retired as a nurse from Riverside Convalescent Center in Hampton in 2005 after 32 years of service. She loved her family very much and considered her life very complete. Preceded in death by her parents, Elwood and James Russo and a brother, Gilbert Gregg; she is survived by the love of her life, her husband of 59 years, James Bishop; three daughters, Patricia Hogge and Nelson Crawford, Mary Rogers and her husband, John, and Jenny Higgins and her husband, Patrick; six grandchildren, Lindsay Oliver, Aaron Rogers, Lauren Hogge, Courtney Rogers, Ethan Higgins, and James Rogers; four great-grandchildren, Abram Mehlhoff, Addison Oliver, Lily Hales, and Athena Vargas; and a brother, Phillip Gregg and his wife, Carol. She left instructions to her family to take care of daddy and each other. The family will receive friends at her home on Monday, August 25 from 2-5PM.
