Fay Schmidt Rogers, 80, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her two daughters on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. Born and raised in Phoebus, she was a lifelong Hampton resident. Fay worked for many years at Fuller's Restaurant and later at Bert's Flower Shop with her lifelong neighbor, Mary Whitehouse. She treasured every moment spent with her family and friends. She left letters for Julie and Alie to find following her death. One that brings them much peace says "If I should get sick or pass during the night please let me go, I am with the love of my life! My heart is broken without him. You just don't know how much I miss your Dad. I keep praying for him to come get me. You girls will always be with us and no one could ever take our love away. Just know I am with your dad and so happy to have his arms around me again".

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, RW "Woozy" Rogers, Jr. and her parents, Fay and Anton Schmidt; Fay is survived by her daughters, Julie Colton (Ed) and Alie Barba (Paul); her brother, Tony Schmidt (Alison); four grandchildren, Justin (Jen), Ryan (Diana), Meagan (Gavin), and Alicia (James); and ten great-grandchildren, Brylan, Parker, Sloan, Cali, Eli, Ella, Nalani, Brooklyn, Cooper, and Brady.

A memorial service will be conducted at 6:00 PM, Saturday, September 20, 2025, in the R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home chapel.
