Hampton,

Fay Macneil was a loving, devoted mother and wife who always put others ahead of herself.  Her family was everything, and she gave lovingly of herself to ensure their every need.  Fay was a hard working individual with a strong and admirable work ethic, portraying the importance of integrity and responsibility.

She was an active member of the First United Church of Christ, where she enjoyed singing in the choir and playing hand bells.

Fay was preceded in death by her parents, Alice and Robert nightingale, and brothers, Neil Nightengale and Robert Nightengale.  She is survived by her husband, Hugh Macneil,; daughter, Melanie Shemer,; son, Michael Macneil; grandson, Arron Michael; nephew Scott Nightengale and niece Jennifer Pembroke.  She will be missed by all.

Fay's life will be remembered and celebrated at 1:00 PM Thursday, August 4, 2016, at First United Church of Christ, 1017 Todds Lane in Hampton by Pastor Lisa A. Gaul.
