Evelyn Louise Mingee, born on September 19, 1957 in Hampton, Virginia, to the late Margaret L. Mingee and the late Bevely L. Mingee Sr., passed away at age 61 on May 28, 2019. Evelyn graduated from Thomas Nelson Community College in 1978. She will be missed by her colleagues where she has been an Accounting Specialist with the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation's finance team since 2005.

Our dear and kind Evelyn was preceded in death by her sister Barbara Chadwick, and will be missed and is survived by her brothers, Bevely L. Mingee Jr., William J Mingee, George Mingee, Carl Mingee, and Stephen Mingee; sisters, Penny Mingee Crawford, Phyllis Chadwick; brother in-law, Dearl Crawford; sisters in-law,    Beverly Mingee and Carmen Quinn; nieces, Rebecca Anderson, Danica Mingee Rose; and nephews, D.J. Crawford, Trey Mingee, Adam Mingee, Robert Mingee and Dustin Johnson.

Evelyn was a prayer group member at Restoration Church. Her friends are welcome to come and celebrate her life with her family at a visitation from 4:00-5:00 pm Tuesday, June 4th at Restoration Church, 508 Fox Hill Rd, Hampton, VA with a memorial service beginning at 5:00 pm.  A reception will follow the service  in the church fellowship hall.
