Evelyn Fae Leggett, 92, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2025.  Born in Williamston, North Carolina, she was the daughter of William L. and Eva Glenn Roberson.

Preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clifton Ray Leggett; brothers and sisters, Pearl Pittman, Louise Harlow, Esther Whichard, Hazel Johnson, Dorothy Cullipher, Shirley Roebuck, Vance Roberson, James Roberson, Dennis Roberson, Ernest Roberson and Mayhew Roberson.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her sister, Rose Crouch, and sons, Carlton R. Leggett (Pat) and Scotty Brian Leggett (Karen); daughters, Fay Leggett Hoerger and Linda Leggett Herner (Dale); grandchildren Ryan Hoerger, Jeff Hoerger, Shelly Leggett, Sarah Leggett, Jenny Santiestevan, Tracy Newsom, Roxann Nelson, Katlyn Leggett, Jonathan Leggett, Kathleen Leggett, and Brian Wayne Leggett), Chet Leggett, and Trey Leggett; numerous great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 10 AM Monday, December 29, 2025, at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, 245 S. Armistead Avenue, downtown Hampton by Pastor Danny Deuell; with a visitation prior to the service from 9:30 – 10 AM at the funeral home.  Interment will be at Peninsula Memorial Park in Newport News.
