On Saturday, April 7, 2018, Evelyn passed away in peace with her family beside her. She was born January 25, 1935 in Hazelton Pennsylvania. As a child she came to settle in Williamsburg, with her parents Samuel Salvatore and Evelyn Henrietta, who preceded her in death. Mama shared many stories and her fond memories of spending her summers back in Hazelton. She was an excellent cook, and loved to sing and dance. She loved the Redskins her entire life. Win or lose she never gave up on them.

Evelyn is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Ednamae and Mark Lewis; sons, Wayne H. Gousse and Mark R. Gousse; grandchildren, Mandy Brooks, Shane Donahue and his wife Donna, and Taylor Lynn Gousse; great-grandchildren, Cheyanne Brooks, Shelby and Kaleigh Donahue, and Adyson Brookes.

The family will receive friends at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 from 6:30-8PM. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at St. Jerome Catholic Church on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at noon. Interment will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Williamsburg.

Mama loved animals, especially ones without homes, please in lieu of flowers, donate to your local animal shelter in memory of her love of them.
