E velyn N. Fayette, 78, died Thursday, December 20, 2018. Born in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Hazel Eades and Jasper Dew Nowlin. She moved to Hampton Roads at an early age where she worked as a waitress at Eli's Restaurant for 20 years, then at Ray's Deli for 22 years. She was always willing to help others and participated in many Relay For Life Events, she also enjoyed listening to country music, but her greatest love was her family.

Preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Eugene J. Fayette; survivors include three daughters, Kelley Perry Wilkins, Gretchen Vanessa Tanner, and Evelyn Kristin Niemotka; her sisters, Earline Nowlin Rogers and Madeline Nowlin Hammock; a special aunt, Lois Paris; seven grandchildren. Anthony Ryan Perry, Jason Schubert, Ashley Whitt Oliver, Andrew Brady, James Norris, Samantha Norris, and Dezaray Lace Hall; and fifteen great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will e conducted at 2:00 PM, Friday, December 28, 2018 at Hampton National Cemetery.
