Eva Winters, 66, passed away on October 21, 2023 after a long illness. Born in Norfolk on March 30, 1957 to Jack A. and Margaret (Powers) Winters, she was a longtime resident of Hampton.

Eva was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She had a passion for art and cared deeply for her pet birds. She was always eager to help others and was involved in various community causes prior to her illness.

Preceded in death by her father, Jack; she is survived by her devoted mother, Margaret; her brothers, Paul "Curt" Winters and wife, Donna, Jeffrey Winters, and Jack Winters, III and wife, Kim; nieces and nephews; many friends; and her beloved pet, Mickey.

Eva lived life to the fullest and brought joy to those around her. She will be deeply missed, but the memories of her kind heart and vibrant spirit will live on.

The family will receive friends from 1-2pm Thursday, October 26 at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home with a funeral service beginning at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park.
