Obituary

HAMPTON - Our Little Rockstar Evan James Titus was granted his angel wings on November 26, 2015 at 12:29 p.m. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends. Evan touched many throughout his short, yet very memorable life. Evan was born September 28, 2012 to Jeremy Titus and Barbara Jean Griffin. Evan is survived by his parents Jeremy and Barbara Jean, sisters Elle Jean and Jae'lyn Paris, paternal grandparents Jim and Renie Titus, maternal grandparents Ken and Irene Griffin, Uncle Kenny Griffin and Aunt Jessica DeBusk, Aunt Cindy and Uncle Richard Roscopf, Uncle Zachary Titus, Aunt Caitlin Titus, Uncle Bryan May and his favorite playmate, cousin Jakob Roscopf. Evan fought a courageous battle with Neuroblastoma and forever changed the lives of all who were lucky enough to have known him. Evan's life would seem too short to many but those who were touched by his life understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. His gentle smile, tiny fingers and baby soft skin brought so much joy to our family. Evan will forever be our Little Rockstar and showed us all what true bravery looks like. He loved fire engines, Toy Story, Mickey Mouse, Elmo, Paw Patrol, Kenny G, Milky the cat, his sisters and donuts with pink sprinkles! We would like to say a special thank you to all the doctors and nurses at CHKD who cared for Evan and the many organizations, friends and family near and far that supported Evan and our family. Words cannot express our genuine gratitude and appreciation. "I'll see you someday in the future not so near, til then, baby boy, I'll love you from here". We will celebrate Evan's life on Wednesday December. 2nd at 11:00 a.m. at Fox Hill Central United Methodist Church, 501 Beach Road, Hampton, Virginia 23664. The family request that everyone please wear red as it was Evan's favorite color. In lieu of flowers please send donations to RocSolid Foundation, 3333 Station House Rd., Suite B, Chesapeake, VA 23322. Arrangements are by R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home in Hampton, 757-723-3191.
