Erika Marie Wilson of Hampton, VA passed away February 5, 2017. Born March 28, 1995 in Newport News, VA, she was a lifelong resident of Hampton.

Erika was a fun child to be around and kept the whole family in laughter all the time. She attended Phillips Elementary School, Syms Middle School, and Kecoughtan High School.   While in High School, she worked at Langley Speedway for two years during the summer and also at Dunkin Donuts after school.

Left to cherish her memory are her two beautiful children, Bentley Austin 2 ½ years old and Ellie Nicole, 9 months and their father, Warren Jones. She also leaves her mother, Jamie Marie Routten and father, David A. Wilson; brothers and sisters, Deon Routten, Halie Wilson, Makayla Routten, Antonio Johnson, Tiffany Wilson, Timothy Morrison, Katlin Wilson, Jennifer Wilson, and Zachary Wilson, her loving grandparents Robert and Tonya (Toni) Wineman; and Norma Jean and Robert Russell; her aunts and uncles, Bobbie Evans, Joel Evans, Adam Wineman, Kate Hill, Ernie Edwards, "Susie" Carol Harris, Wayne Edwards, Brian Edwards, Lisa Avery and Tammy Bowman.; nieces and nephews, Kenzie, Khloe, Carter, Colton, Conner and Colby; cousins, Jordan, Cole, Logan, Kullen, and Liam.

The day you were born I held you in my arms and looked into your beautiful eyes; and I knew then that you were Mommy's little angel! The day God called you home, I held you in my arms and looked into your eyes, and then I also knew you were already home with God. When you spread your wings, and flew high into the sky, I knew you were my angel and you became Mommy's guardian angel forever. Mommy loves you more than I could ever try to express. I love you always and forever Mommy's Baby Girl. Love Mommy.

The day you were born, the doctor put you in my arms. Daddy's little girl was now here. I love you with all my heart. When you called me Daddy over the years, I was proud for you to call me Daddy. Now you're in Heaven watching over me. Daddy wants you to know that I will miss you and I love you. Love Daddy.
