Erik B. Deel, 26, died Sunday, November 10, 2024. A native and lifelong resident of the Peninsula, he graduated from Tabb High School and had wrestled for 15 years. Erik loved people and was quick to make friends; he loved live music; and had an extensive shoe collection, always being sure that his clothes and shoes matched.

Erik is survived by his parents, Jeremy Deel (Sandy) and Kathryn Ellison (Dave); grandmother, Kimberly Spring (John); sisters, Laura Magee, Kristin Morgan and Kailynn Smithers; brother, Rieley Magee; step brother, Joe Chewning; step sister, Sydney Chewning; and many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, November 18, 2024 at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, 245 S. Armistead Ave, Hampton with interment to follow in Parklawn Memorial Park.
