Erica Evelyn MacKellar, age 44, passed away on April 27th, 2025. She is preceded in death by her mother, Diane Marie Loher, father, Charles Joseph Loher Jr. and daughter, Emily Diane MacKellar.

Erica was born April 2nd, 1981, in Chicago, Illinois and moved to Virginia and spent her childhood years growing up in the Hampton Roads area. Erica loved the simple things in life. She loved nothing more than being a mom, spending time with her family and friends and taking care of others. Her children have great memories of her cooking Sunday morning breakfast and watching cartoons with them. She loved writing, funny movies and the Lakers. In her free time, she enjoyed going to play Bingo with her sisters, doing crosswords and you could guarantee she'd always have her coffee in hand.

She is survived by her husband, Brandon MacKellar, her daughter, Alyssa MacKellar and son, Jacob MacKellar; her sisters, Sarah Nance and her husband Nick Nance, Lisa Kurtz and her husband Steve Kurtz; her brothers, Charles Loher III, Michael Bulich and wife Jennifer Bulich, Nicholas Loher and partner Cassie Cook, sister-in-law and lifelong friend Stacey Talkington and many other family and friends.

Erica loved big and had the biggest heart. You could always find comfort in her, as she had a way of making people feel good, even in the worst of situations. She will be missed beyond measure by all of her family and friends.

A private service will be held for family and friends. Donations in Erica's memory may be made to Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters.
