Eric Michael Reed, age 42, of Sylvania Township, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2016 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born June 24, 1974 to Richard and Carol (Zablocki) Reed in Toledo.  After attending Churchland High School in Portsmouth, VA, Eric began his career in loss prevention, working his way up to Loss Prevention Manager for Continental Secret Service Bureau, where he was assigned to the Menards stores in Ohio and Michigan.  Eric was married to Lucinda Raby on December 23, 1996 and were parents to six children.  He has been described as a family man who was hard-working, caring, romantic, passionate and funny.  When not at work, Eric enjoyed his Ohio State Buckeyes, Denver Broncos, playing Playstation with his son, dancing with his daughters, vacationing in Gatlinburg, TN, and just plain driving.

Eric is survived by his wife, Lucinda, parents, Fr. Richard and Carol Reed, children: Brit-tanie, Taylor, Hunter, Grace, Jasmine, and Kennedy Reed, and sister, Aimee (Bryan) Patrick.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 4-8 pm at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, 245 S. Armistead Ave, Hampton. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am, Friday, October 28, 2016 at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home with interment to follow in Parklawn Memorial Park.
