Elvaria Cady Davis, 83, widow of Ernest Corbin Davis Sr., passed away Monday, September 24, 2018.  Born in Albany, NY, she lived many years in Port Richey, FL area where she retired in 2005 as a CNA from North Bay Hospital.  She then moved to Newport News in 2005.  She was a member of Hampton Christian Church in Hampton.

Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her son, Ernest C. Davis, Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Marietta D. Toney, Rosalie Davis, Sandra D. Hankammer, Patricia D. Struchen; son, Lloyd T. Davis; sister, Jeanette C. Martin; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and special friend Gordon Parkhurst.

Mrs. Davis' will be placed with her husband at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery during a private family ceremony, led by her son-in-law, Right Rev. Denzel L. Struchen.
