Elizabeth V. Murray, age 96, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, July 2, 2015. She was born in North Carolina on March 23, 1919. Mrs. Murray retired as a LPN from Hampton General Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Murray, Sr., her parents Lloyd Vernon, and Annie Wiggins Vernon, her son James L. (Marian) Murray, her sister Margaret Bryan, and great grandson, Christopher Murray. She is survived by one son, John (Pansy); four grandchildren, Ted (Michelle), Gary, David, and Patricia; seven great grandchildren, and three great, great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 11-2 , Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Providence Free Will Baptist Church, 731 E. Little Back River Rd, Hampton, Virginia, 23669. A celebration of her life will follow in the church at 2:00 with interment to follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. Arrangements by R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home.
