Obituary
POQUOSON - Elizabeth Lacy Engleburt Wyman, departed this life on January 18, 2016, after a courageous battle with lung and heart disease. A native of Hampton, she made Poquoson her home for over 15 years. Born to the late William and Eleanor Engleburt, she is also preceded in death by her sisters, Eleanor Mallinson and Billie Crowell. Mrs. Wyman is survived by her brother, William Engleburt of California; her son, Mark Wyman; daughter, Theresa "Terry" Johnston and husband David, all of Poquoson; and her beloved grandchildren, Sara Johnston of Poquoson and Matthew Johnston of Newport News. She retired from the Fort Monroe Army Exchange as a department manager with over 30 years service. She will always be remembered by family and friends as an independent and spirited person who derived pleasure from the smallest things, especially her family. She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. A funeral service will be conducted at 6:30 PM Thursday, January 21, 2016 at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home 245 S. Armistead Ave, Hampton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 5-:30-6:30 PM. The interment will be held at 12:00 Noon, Friday in Parklawn Memorial Park.
