Elizabeth Rice Bryant, 66, died Sunday, May 29, 2016. A native of Reedville, she had been a Hampton resident for the last 48 years. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she loved to travel. She retired from Suttle Motor Corp. in 2004 after many years of service.

Preceded in death by her father, Luther H. Rice and her brother, Len Rice; survivors include her husband of 48 years, Harry Bryant; her daughter, Beth Sorensen and her husband, Dr. Michael Sorensen; her mother, Grace Rice; her brother, Fredrick Rice; and three grandchildren, Zachary Longtine, Sarah Sorensen, and Phoebe Sorensen.

A graveside service will be conducted at noon on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at Roseland Cemetery in Reedville, VA. The family will receive friends from 5:30-6:30 Wednesday at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home.
