Obituary

Elizabeth "Betty" Klaugh Brown, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed into eternity, Friday, November 5, 2021. Loved by so many, she was preceded in death by her husband Herman W. Brown (Bunny), along with her parents, William R. & Roberta Klaugh and her two brothers, William (Bill) Klaugh (Brenda) and Joseph Klaugh (Beverly).

She is survived by her daughters, Mary Katherine (Tony) Kromoff, Karen Marie (Guy) Ragan, and Melody Kaye (Chris) Parr, as well as her 9 grandchildren, Kyle (Eri), Kevin (Kayleigh), Lauren (David), Grace & Ian, Preston, Jacob, and C.J. (Alexis) and her 2 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her two sisters-in-law, Boots Schenck and Beverly Klaugh and multiple nieces and nephews.

Pursuing Jesus and serving her family were top priories. As the longest attending member of her church (from the Wythe Parkway Days), Betty has served as Sunday School Teacher, Choir Director, Youth Director, served on a variety of committees and positions in the church, including as a Church Secretary. Betty hosted a weekly neighborhood Bible Study with women she loved.  So thankful she is rejoicing in the arms of Jesus and with her beloved Bunny. Mom, you are so loved and will be deeply missed.

A viewing will be held at Faith Baptist Church in Hampton on Thursday, November 11 from 1-2pm. A funeral service will follow at 2pm with interment to follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.

Arrangements are by R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home.
