Electa Wheeler, 82, a native of Sikeston, Mo & resident of Hampton, passed away on Monday, Dec. 1st, 2014 surrounded by her family. She was treasurer and active member of Southeast Virginia Street Rods with her 47 Ford. Electa was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Lorene Broshears and husbands Herbert Webb, James Williams and Jim Wheeler. She is survived by four daughters; Patricia Smithley & husband Mike, Winona Weber & husband Ron, Victoria Pegram & husband Dale, Jackie Wall and a son, Charles Williams & wife Vanessa; sisters Diane McFerrin & husband Sam, Toni Broshears, brothers Edward, John & Chris Broshears; her eleven grandchildren include Brian & Steve Smithley, Ronald & David Weber, Sheri & Douglas Pegram, Christina Wall & Dana Cox, Jamie, Carter & Christian Williams; and five+ great-grandchildren Cassie & Brooke Smithley, Kara & Logan Weber, Ava Williams and soon to be arriving Memphis Cox. The family will receive friends Thursday, 6-7:30 PM, at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home. A service celebrating Electa's life will be at 11:00 AM Friday at the funeral home by Pastor Jeff Cannon. The reception for family and friends will be held at the home of Jackie Wall, 10 Sanlun Lakes Drive in Hampton.
