Eleanor Houston was called home by her Lord and Savior on April 10, 2015. She was born on May 27, 1918 to the late Edward and Blanche Lewis. She was a 1935 graduate from Hampton High School and a member of Central United Methodist Church in Hampton where she was a member of the Lois Lane Circle. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Ernest, and her sister, Carolyn Dorst. Eleanor was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her sister, Mildred Lewis; her son, Ernest Houston, Jr.; daughter, Pam Moren and husband, Jim; and daughter, Robin Wilson and husband, Rob; and six grandchildren, Tonya Downs and husband, John; James Moren, III and wife, Mandy; Jeff Moren and wife, Michelle; Curt Jimenez and wife, Kiersten; Heather and Mitch Bolden; and six great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 10 - 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home. Immediately following at 11:00 AM, a funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home chapel.
