Eleanor Hyde Englehart joined her husband Ed in eternal rest on Thursday, February 26, 2026.  The only child of Eric Haschal and Jessie Orr Hyde, she was fortunate to call Poplarville, Mississippi home. Educated at Louisiana State University and the University of Southern Mississippi, after graduation she taught school in Indianola, MS.  She met her future husband Ed while he was in pilot training in nearby Greenville. They married in 1955. Eleanor went on to teach in  Poplarville MS, and the Panama Canal Zone. Ed and Eleanor welcomed their daughter Leslie in 1958 and celebrated the addition of son-in-law David in 1981, grandsons Patrick in 1989 and Ryan in 1991.

Family was her most important treasure followed by the love of dear friends. We are all fortunate to have had her in our lives. Hold those you love a bit closer as a memorial to her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026 at St. John's Church at 1:00 PM with a reception to follow in the Parish Hall.
