Elaina Ann Day, 60, of Hampton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 29, 2023. Elaina was born April 27, 1963, in Columbus, OH to Rose Day and the late, Curtis L. Day, Sr. She was the second of three siblings and graduated from Phoebus High School in 1981 and ODU in 1985. She was a civil servant with the Department of the Air Force and Navy for 37 years with her career taking her to various assignments throughout the world. She eventually returned home to be with family and friends and retired in April 2022.

Elaina enjoyed helping others and contributed to organizations such as Saint Jude's Children's Research Hospital and Hope for Paws animal rescue group. Elaina loved to read her bible, pray for and with others, spending time with family, laughing, and always wearing a smile on her face. She was a loving and caring person, devoted sister and friend and always thinking of others first.

She will be missed by her mother, Rose Day; her older sister, Tina S. Pierce (Tim); her younger brother Curtis L. Day, Jr. (Sonia); her four nephews Andrey D. Walters, Timmy M. Pierce, Trey M. Pierce (Andrea), Curtis L. Day, III (Stacie); and one great-nephew Atticus C. Day.

All services will be private.
