Effie Mae Wilder, 96, died Friday, December 6, 2013. Born Eastern Shore, Virginia but had been a Phoebus resident for 75+ years and had worked as a supervisor for Maida Development. Mrs. Wilder was a member of Restoration Church-Phoebus Baptist. She loved singing and Scrabble, crocheting angels and baby sets, knitting sweaters and making Christmas candy. Mrs. Wilder is survived by her son, Larry Wilder; sister, Peggy Hartley; eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

A memorial service will be conducted at 6:00 PM, Thursday at Berceuse Funeral and Cremation Traditions, 2609 Cunningham Drive, Hampton, VA 23666.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Arthritis research.
