Edythe Mae Frost 102 a longtime resident of Hampton died December 23, 2014. Miss Frost was born in Newport News on Aug. 13, 1912. She was the daughter of Maynor Gay Douglas Frost who died in 1935 and John F. Frost Sr. who died in 1950. She was also preceded in death by one brother John F. Frost Jr., two sisters Mamie F. Price and Myrtle F. Burt, nieces and nephews. She is survived by great-nieces, great-nephews and dear friends. She also left behind many friends at Coliseum Convalescent and Rehabilitation Center. Edythe worked in the shoe department of Miller & Rhodes in Richmond, at Langley Field in the PX and Akers Beverage Co. in Newport News. She retired in 1972. She was a beloved member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Hampton for many years. Private burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Richmond, Va. The family request that memorials be made to Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 151 Wythe Parkway, Hampton, VA 23661.
