Edward (Capt. Eddie) McKay was born on March 22, 1946 in New Bedford, Massachusetts and died on March 20, 2018. He was a long time resident of Hampton, Virginia.
He served in the United States Marine Corp then later worked on scallop boats as a deckhand and Captain. Upon retirement he started his own Paint Striping business. He enjoyed Nascar, fishing and was an avid motorcycle enthusiast.
He was a loving family man who left behind: His wife Brenda Jenkins McKay, his brothers Wayne (Karen), Walter (Mila) and Tony (Sharlette); his sisters-n-law, Carole, Lola (Ralph); his daughters, Dina (Shaun), Dawn (Allen), Sandra (Buddy), Carrie (Rob); his son Gene (Debbie); his grandchildren, Justin, Brittney (Luke), Rylie, Genesta (Angel), Anthony, Brianne, Kyle, Madison, Blake, Tyler, Ashley, Johnathan and Gregory.
He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, friends and closest friends Albert (AC), Loy (Poppy) and Bill Mullis.
