Edward Gary Collins, 67, of Hampton, Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on May 6, 2014. He was born in Philadelphia in 1946, raised in Connecticut he graduated from Middletown High School upon graduation he joined the U.S. Navy. He faithfully served our country for 23 years as a Machinery Repairman including during the Vietnam War. After retiring from the U.S. Navy he worked for Continental for 15 years. Eddie was married to Chisako Koga in 1970: they were married 43 years. They both accepted Christ as their Savior in 1978. They faithfully raised their four children in a Christ loving home. He enjoyed reading, bowling with family and serving through their church Bethel Baptist Church. Edward is survived by his wife Chisako, four children Seiichi Collins, Mary Bressler, Chris Collins his wife Jennifer, David Collins his wife Amy, his grandchildren Kristen, Niccolo, Cason, Jori and Alena and many friends. Edward is preceded in death by his parents Mary Evelyn Collins and Edward Joseph Collins.
