IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Edward Todd
Clark
June 26, 1925 – June 6, 2024
Dr. Edward Todd Clark of Hampton, Virginia passed into the arms of his Savior, June 6, 2024. He was born on June 26, 1925 in Elizabeth City County (Fox Hill), Virginia to the late Harry Wilson Clark and Mary Todd Clark. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years Aulene Horton Clark. Dr. Clark grew up on the Todd family farm as his father died when he was only 13 months old and his mother brought him back to the farm to live. He graduated from Hampton High School (1942), the University of Richmond (1944) and the Medical College of Virginia Dental School (1948). Dr. Clark proudly served his country during both WWII and the Korean War. He was in the Navy in the Dental Corps on the USS Yellowstone and the USS Shenandoah. Dr. Clark served the people of Hampton as a dentist for 40 years. He was a lifelong and devoted member of Central United Methodist and served in many capacities over the years.
He was devoted to his family and as the years passed he took care of his mother, two widowed aunts and his own family. We will be forever grateful for how he has provided for us through the years and for years to come. He is survived by his daughters Deborah Clark Roseman (Darwin) and Mary Clark Glisson, grandsons Christopher Neal Roseman (Nicole) and Jeffery Todd Roseman (Kate), one granddaughter Crystal Glisson Sweet (Tully), and five great grandchildren Devyn and Megan Roseman, Greyson Sweet, and Kenley and Jayden Roseman.
Visitation will take place at the R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home in Hampton on June 13th from 5:30 to 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held on June 14th at 11:30 a.m. at Central United Methodist Church, Hampton with interment to follow in Peninsula Memorial Park.
