Edith "Maxine" Pinello, entered Heaven's gates on May 2, 2017. The daughter of John J. Romans, and Mildred Trousdale Romans she was born in Leighton, Alabama on August 23, 1941. Maxine had an unwavering Faith in God. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Hampton. A consummate mother and homemaker, Maxine dedicated her life to providing a warm and loving home with each relocation the family made. She now sits with the Father preparing a new home for her loved ones once again. Maxine was an avid gardener and incredible award-winning cook and loved preparing meals for her family and friends. She was the owner of The Ritz Internationale Salon and Spa for 25 years. During her lifetime, she collected a treasure trove of experiences; traveling to Sicily, embracing extended family, and most of all enjoying the love and lives of her husband, children and grandchildren.

Maxine was preceded in death by her beautiful grandson, Zachary Scott Warman. Survivors include her devoted and loving husband of 54 years, Samuel Pinello Jr; sister, Joyce Morris; brother John H. Romans; and daughters, Suzanne Pinello, Teresa Pinello-Schacht and Rhonda Pinello; and four grandchildren, Nikolais Pinello Warman, Jillian Blair Smith, Ryan Samuel Smith, and Nicholas Joseph Schacht who will forever remember her as "Nonnie".

Her beloved friends June Spechio and Edna Eichelsbacher provided sisterhood, friendship, and joy over the years. The family extends their gratitude to all those who knew and loved Maxine.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 12, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 PM at R Hayden Smith Funeral Home, 245 South Armistead Ave. Hampton VA 23669. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at St Joseph Catholic Church, 512 Buckroe Ave, Hampton, VA 23664.
