Edgar "Daddy, Granddaddy, Goldie, Curlo, Curly, and Coffee Man" 88, died Sunday, April 19, 2026. Born in Alabama, the family moved to Virginia when he was very young and always considered Phoebus his home. Edgar retired as a tool man from the Newport News Shipyard. He belonged to the Hampton Golf Association. He was the last of the originals at Woodlands Golf Course. His favorite past times were playing golf and watching his grandkids in their various activities.

Preceded in death by his parents, George and Elizabeth Taylor and his wife Sarah Taylor: survivors include seven children: eighteen grandchildren: and thirty-one great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at noon, Saturday, May 9, 2026, in Oakland Cemetery.
