Edgar Bruce Dillow, 66, passed away with family by his side on Saturday, December 10, 2022. Born and raised in Norfolk, he was the son of the late George A. Dillow, Sr. and Betty Mae Goldsby. Ed dedicated 37 years of service to Metro Machine Corporation and retired in 2014 as an Assistant Foreman in their steel shop. He enjoyed his garden, fishing, his kitty cats, adventures in the mountains (especially Crab Tree Falls) and most of all spending time with his family. Ed was a devoted Pops, brother, uncle, Pop-Pop and friend and he will be dearly missed.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Al and Betty; and his brother, George A. Dillow, Jr. Left to cherish his memory are his beloved children, Edgar B. Dillow, Jr., John Travis Dillow and wife, Jodiana Fattorini, Summer Dillow Spencer, and husband, Joshua; grandchildren, Johnny Dillow, Savannah Dillow, and Peyton Dillow; former wife and dear friend, Amanda Dillow; sister, Michelle Dillow Nutt and husband, David; sister-in-law, Charlotte C. Dillow; nieces and nephews, Taylor Mae Upson (Joseph), Cody Dillow (Desirae), Mary Dillow Plummer (Skyler), Joshua Nutt, and Michael Nutt; as well as numerous great-nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
The family asks that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the local animal shelter or a charity of your choice in honor of Ed.
