Eddie Griffin, 57 died peacefully in his sleep on March 17, 2021. Born in Omaha, NE on March 9, 1964, during his father's time in the U.S. Air Force, he spent most of his life in Hampton, Virginia where he worked for over 25 years in short and long-haul delivery.

Eddie enjoyed music of many genres, but he mostly loved rock and heavy metal. The music never seemed to be loud enough for him as he rode down the highway in the summer with the windows rolled down. He found a special love for cooking later in his life but mostly loved to fish with his son and watch as he raced around the go-cart track and felt the utmost pride when people would approach him and tell him about how well his son could drive. He also enjoyed listening to his daughter sing when she wasn't paying attention - finding that her laughter was music to his heart. He loved his family and enjoyed long talks with his brother and sister.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Doris and Thomas Griffin and a child lost before full term. Survivors include his wife, Margie Griffin; his children Sarah and Logan; brother from Arizona, John Griffin and his children; Allie, Kaitlin, Aaron, Cami, Jensen, and Jaxson; and his sister Michelle Toth and her husband Jason of Macon, Georgia.

A memorial service will be held at Langley Baptist Church in Hampton, Virginia by Reverend David Pace on Sunday March 21, 2021, at 5:30 p.m.
