Eddie Bowen passed away peacefully on January 2, 2014. He was born in North Carolina in 1930. In 1960 he and his wife, Mona B. opened a body shop and in 1961 started selling used cars as Eddie Bowen's Used Cars, currently Pay Here Used Cars. Eddie was in the car business for 54 years.

Survivors include his wife, Mona B.; their daughters, Linda and her husband, Lee and Jackie and her husband, Roger; six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 10-11am, Monday, January 6, 2014 at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow in Parklawn Memorial Park at 11:30.
