Duane DeBlasio, 88, died Sunday, August 20, 2023. Born in Freeport, PA, Duane moved to Phoebus and lived in Hampton many years until moving to Williamsburg and finally settling in Providence Forge in 2015. He graduated from Hampton High School in 1954 and then from the University of Virginia with a Bachelors of Architecture in 1961.

Duane joined Forrest Coile Architects in 1963 working until semi-retirement in 2003. He designed his last residence in 2020. Over the years he was a member of the Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce where he served in many capacities including president. He was a member of the Warwick Rotary Club where he was a Paul Harris Fellow and was a member of King of Glory Lutheran Church in Providence Forge.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Kurby. Duane is survived by his son, Darin DeBlasio and wife Theresa; sister, Sandy Anthony; brothers, Jim DeBlasio and Joe DeBlasio; granddaughters, Meredith Franks and Angelica Hurst; and great-grandchildren, Aria, Nichole, Elena and Tristan "Bubba".

A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 am, Saturday, Sept 2, 2023 at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home 245 S. Armistead Ave, Hampton.
