Dorothy Hart Williams, 75, died Wednesday, July 6, 2016. Born July 19, 1940 in Wilmington, NC, she was the only child of Hiram and Cassie Hart. The family moved to Albany, NY in the early 1950's and Dorothy graduated from State University of New York, SUNY Plattsburgh in 1962. She taught school at various locations throughout the country, to include Hampton, as well as at the DOD School at Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan in the late sixties.

Survivors include her husband, Donald R. Williams; four children, Suzanne M. Williams of Richlands,VA, Jeffrey B. Williams of Denver, CO, Gregory S. Williams of Newport News, and Eric K. Williams of Princeton, NJ; and eight grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 10-11AM on Monday, July 11, 2016 at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home followed by a memorial service beginning at 11:00 AM.
