IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dorothy Ann
Seidnitzer
March 30, 1941 – September 21, 2021
Dorothy Ann Seidnitzer, 80, made the journey to heaven to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 21, 2021. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Dorothy was preceded in death by her loving husband Donald Seidnitzer and her daughter, Dorothy Seidnitzer. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Yolanda (Greg), Donald, Yvonne (John), Dean, and Daniel (Chandra); her thirteen grandchildren, Darlene (Kevin), April (Chris), Brandy (Anthony), Gregory, Aaron, Kevin, Kristen, Bethany, Brent, Brittany (Chris), Logan, Christopher, and Dane; and twelve great-grandchildren, Brianna, Kylee, Ryan, Lacey, Mason, Trinity, Anthony Jr, Declan, Obadiah, Kross, Cade and Cameron.
Dorothy was born in Phoebus, Virginia on March 30, 1941. She was a lifelong Hampton resident who married the love of her life, Donald Seidnitzer, in July of 1957 and together they raised a family of six wonderful children and enjoyed 61 years of marriage.
Dorothy was a full-time homemaker who devoted her life to taking care of the home and raising her children. She was a selfless woman who gave her time and efforts to anyone in need, especially her brother Buster who she devotedly looked after for over 20 years. Family was the most important part of her life. Dorothy loved cutting up and carrying on with her children and grandchildren. She especially enjoyed sitting around talking and laughing about old times, family game night, and the yearly camping trips in October where she and her family always took first prize in decorating their campsite for Halloween. You would most often find her sitting on her porch drinking her coffee with her beloved chihuahua Pee Wee attached at her side.
The family will receive friends at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home from 1-2PM on Monday, September 27, 2021. A funeral service will follow at 2PM.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital
