Dorothy Ellen Erickson, 84, widow of William John Erickson, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2016. Born in Manchester, NH, she has been a resident of Hampton since 1974.
Dorothy attended the LAFB Main Chapel and Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. She was a member of LAFB Officer's Wives Club, Willow Oaks Garden Club where she began the Monthly Birthday Celebrations, several Bridge Groups and the Movie Mavens. She also enjoyed going to Chrysler Hall with "the Girls" to see the shows.
She is survived by her daughter, Tracy Moore of Hampton; son Mark Erickson of Hampton; grandchildren, David Erickson, Mary Erickson, and Jonathan Moore; and great-granddaughter, Lola.
The family will receive friends from 4-6:00 PM Wednesday at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home in downtown Hampton. A funeral service will be conducted 4:00 PM Thursday at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church by Rev. Dr. Charles Bang. Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
