Donna Lewis Taylor peacefully joined her Father in heaven on Saturday, April 30, 2016. Donna was born on July 24, 1937, and was a lifelong resident of Hampton. She graduated from Hampton High School in 1955 and from Pan-American Business College in 1957. She married the love of her life, Burrell C. Taylor, in 1958. Donna worked for many years as a legal secretary and retired from the City Attorney's Office for the City of Hampton. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.

Donna is survived by her husband of 57 years, Burrell; four children: Renee T. Arnold (Larry), Debra Lynn Manner (Jim), Suzanne Pitsillides (Teddy) and John Burrell Taylor (Angie); seven grandchildren: Tara Lord, Trip Arnold, Matt Manner, Kaylin Manner, Casey Burrell Taylor (Ashley), Sierra Rose Cooper, and Phillip Taylor; one great-grandchild: Aubrey Renee Lord; and a sister: Jo Ann Wood (Ballard).

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Rideout and Josephine M. Lewis, and her sister, Mary Lynn Hughes (Ronald). The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 4, at Wesley United Methodist Church, 2510 N. Armistead Ave., Hampton. A private graveside service will be at Parklawn Memorial Cemetery, Hampton. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Wesley United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice or to Wesley UMC.
