Donna Marie Larkin - Daughter of William and Margaret Larkin, born June 2, 1951 in Port Chester, NY and raised in Greenwich, CT, passed away peacefully in her sleep in the early morning hours of September 23, 2015 after many years of being sick. Donna graduated GHS in 1969 and moved many places, touching the lives of people she met everywhere. She leaves behind her daughter Lynda Shire (and Cozette); son Doug Heston (and Amber), their children Douglas Danger and Rylan Blaze; her adopted' son Paul Cyrus (and Audra), their children Joshua, Dillon, Shelby, and Marissa; her sisters MaryAnn and Holly, a niece and nephew, and many cousins and friends everywhere. Donna never met a stranger and brought love, laughter, strength and courage to everyone she came into contact with. She had a strong will and sense of self, loved this country and our military, loved to cook, sew, and make people laugh. Most of all she never backed down from a challenge. She was a loving Mother, a proud Veteran, and a good friend. Though she had nothing material, she tried to give everyone anything they needed, alwaysthat's just how she was. She will be missed by people far and wide, some she never even met in person, but impacted their lives none the less. Per her wishes, no formal services will take place, instead the family will be holding a celebration of her life on the patio at Kelly's Tavern (1010 Loftis Blvd Newport News, VA 23606), on Sunday 9/27 at 2:00. Everyone is welcomeDonna wanted a party' and that's what she's going to get.
