Donna Elaine Gandee (nee Cyphers), 54, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2018.  A lifelong resident of the Peninsula, her caring nature led her to a career as an LPN working in home health care and in nursing homes, helping both elderly and pediatric patients.

Elaine is survived by her six children and their spouses, Adam S. Cyphers and his wife Jennifer, Justin M. Crofutt, Krista K. Stevenson, Lacey M. Siegle and her husband Josh, Reagan E. Crowe and her husband Ronnie, and Kelta E. Cyphers; brother, Scott Cyphers and six grandbabies, Gabby Stanley, Neveah, Sophia and Grayson Cyphers, and Jasper and Jaxon Siegle.  She is predeceased by her husband, Bobby Gandee.  She also leaves behind her beloved dog, DeeDee.

Elaine loved her children very much and was so proud of them.  She supported their dreams and was selfless in her devotion to them.  She loved to talk with her friends Donna and Gaye, especially after her illness made it difficult for her to get around.  She had a strong faith in her Lord and often read her Bible late at night during her illness when sleep was difficult.

She was creative and crafty, making jewelry and dream catchers, and she loved growing things in her garden.  She loved to shop; it was an adventure for her, even if it was just cyber window shopping. Her sense of humor was wonderful and irreverent; her laughter will always be remembered.  She will be missed by her friends and family and we know she will be watching out for us from heaven and living on in our hearts forever.
