Donald Hagan Grogan, 77, died, Friday, July 4, 2014. Born in Williamson, WV he had been a resident of Hampton for the past 50 years. After serving in the Marine Corps, he graduated from the Apprentice School. Donald worked as a pipe fitter and was a member of the Local Union 540. He was a member of the Army Navy Lodge No. 306, where he achieved the status of Master Mason. Survivors include his wife Joan Grogan; daughters, Teresa Palmer and Hazel Haas; son, Ronald Grogan; brother, Bobby Grogan; grandsons, Donald Grogan and Dakota Price; and special family friend, Reuben Haas. A graveside service with military honors will be conducted at 12:00 PM, Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Albert G. Horton Jr. Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:30 PM, Wednesday, at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, in downtown Hampton.
