Donald Edward "Donnie" Fromal, 80 yrs died Thursday, March 20, 2025. A native and lifelong resident of Hampton, Donnie retired as a Lieutenant in the Hampton Fire Department after 30 years of service. He was also a master electrician and a mechanic. A 50-year member of the Summerhouse Rod and Gun Club, he was also a member of the Laugh-A-Lot Hunt Club.

Donnie is survived by his wife, Beth Fromal; sons, Billy Fromal (Dianne) and Wade Bellflower (Shannon); daughter, Donna Wilson (Bobby); Twin brother Ronnie Fromal (Barbara); and grandchildren, Barrett Fromal (Jade), Logan Smith (Gage), Elliott Smith, Brittany Vetterick (Dan), and Madison Wilson. Donnie also leaves many lifelong friends including Smitty Smith and Pat Dent.  His best friend and neighbor, Salty, who was always there when needed. Our irreplaceable friends, David and Mr. Bill and all our incredible neighbors.

A funeral service will be conducted at 12:30 pm, Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at Wythe Presbyterian Church followed by a reception at church and then burial in Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5-7 pm at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, 245 S. Armistead Ave, Hampton.
