Donald H. Cleckner, 85, died Monday, August 17, 2015 at Sentara Careplex after a short illness. A native of Doylestown, OH, Don retired to Hampton in 2003. He was an active member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church. Don is survived by his wife of 60 years, Esther. Also surviving are son, Craig and wife Ruth; and daughter, Beth Hughey and husband Bob. Don was especially proud of his grandsons, Donald and Tommy Cleckner, and Sam, Nick and Eddy. A twin brother Denny survives him in Durham, NC. The family is grateful for the outstanding care Don received from the Sentara nursing and medical staffs. A memorial service will be held at the church at a later date.
