Donald Blotzer, 84, peacefully went to be with the Lord on February 14, 2014. Born February 3, 1930 in Turtle Creek, PA, he was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Anna Blotzer and seven brothers. He is survived by his wife, Mary "Lois" Blotzer; three children, Mark Blotzer of Butner, NC, Olympia Terrell of Guam, and Michelle Parnell of Winston-Salem NC; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Don served his country for 20 years in the US Air Force followed by civil service in the US Postal Service retiring in 1985. His retirement years were spent pulling their trailer, camping, and visiting family. He was a devoted family man and enjoyed his grandchildren. He was willing to help family when help was needed. Among his hobbies were tinkering with cars, building structures, electronics, and he taught himself how to use a computer. Overall, he could fix just about anything.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30AM on Monday, March 3, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment with full Air Force honors will follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5-7PM Wednesday, February 19 at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home.
