Dick Moore Royster, 84, died Thursday, February 18, 2021. Born in Pennington Gap, VA. He then attended Davis and Elkins College where he graduated with a BS in engineering. In 1957 he moved to Hampton and worked 38 years at NASA as a metallurgic engineer until retiring. In 2017 Dick moved to Williamsburg.

A member of Fox Hill First United Methodist Church since 1962, Dick was a founding member BSA Troop 151 there.

Dick is survived by his wife of 61 years, Kay W. Royster; daughter, Leigh Loyd and husband Tony; son, Scott Royster and wife Denise; and three grandchildren, Benjamin Lee Royster, Daniel Scott Royster and Jaden David Loyd.

A memorial service will be conducted 11am, Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Fox Hill First United Methodist Church, Hampton, VA. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 10-11am.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be sent to Fox Hill First United Methodist Church or BSA Troop 151.
