Dianne Marie Cockrell, 70, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2017. Born in Norton, VA, she has been a resident of Hampton since 1962. She was a member of LaCrosse Memorial Presbyterian Church, where she also taught Sunday School.

Surviving are her daughter Alethea C. Rhodes and her partner Lauren C. Swain; sons, Terry L. Rhodes and David P. Rhodes and his wife Christine; sisters, Barbara E. Cowden and Donna Miller and her husband Paul; and grandchildren, Megan, Samantha, and Chance.

The family will have viewing and visitation from 3-5:00 PM Saturday at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home in Hampton.  Immediately following the family will continue to greet friends at the family home. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
