Diane Lois Davy-Cone, 89, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2023. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she married Eugene B. Cone in 1954. As an officer's wife, they lived In Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Munich and Heidelberg, Germany, as well as several stateside military posts. She has been a much-loved resident of Hampton for 45 years.

She was a very active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where she sang in the choir and was a member of The Women of St. Joseph where she volunteered her time to cook for the poor and homeless as well as other church functions. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. She loved cooking, gardening, travel and was an avid reader.

Preceded In death by her husband, LTC Eugene B. Cone, survivors Include her children, Eugene B. (Kay) Cone II of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, Susan Cone-Essi of Boston, MA, and Catherine Cone-Brown of Southport, NC; her grandchildren, Tyler Forsyth (Jessica) Cone of Manhattan, NY, Clayton Walker (Hannah) Cone of Mission Viejo, CA, Lindy Leigh (Patrick) McNamara of Austin, TX, and Isabel Catherine Essi of Manhattan, NY. She is also survived by her great grandchild, Carolina James Cone of Manhattan, NY.

A graveside service will take place at Arlington National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her husband of 59 years. Date to be determined.
