Delores M. Barger, 77, died Friday, January 3, 2014. A native of New York, she had been a Hampton resident since 1969 where she was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was very active with the Knight Cappers and the Ladies of St. Joseph.

Preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Lamar J. Barger; survivors include her children, Richard A. Barger and his wife, Fran, James E. Barger and his wife, Kathy, Lorraine A. King and her husband, Michael and Brian J. Barger; four grandchildren, Meredith and Kevin King and Haley and Erin Barger; her sister, Caroline McFadden; her brother, Thomas Puleo and his wife, Trudy; and many nieces and nephews including a special nephew, Dan McFadden.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:00pm Tuesday at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home with a Rosary Service beginning at 8:00. The family will be at 165 A Atlantic Avenue, Hampton at other times.
