Dawn Marie Hayslett, 45, died Thursday, May 28, 2015. Born in California, she was raised in Hampton where she worked for Smitty's Better Burger for many years and had run Joe's Auto Repair for the last 5 years. She was a member of Petsworth Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother and loved to cook. Preceded in death by her mother, Sylvia Mewszel; survivors include her husband, Joe Hayslett; five children, Amber Lupton, Joseph Mewszel, William Mewszel, Morgan Hayslett, and Christopher Hayslett; her granddaughter, Julie Mewszel; her father, Frank Mewszel; two brothers, Brent Mewszel and his wife, Wendie and Scott Mewszel; and her nephews and a niece, Dalton, Dakota, and Alexis Mewszel. The family will receive friends from 7-9 PM Monday, June 1, 2015 at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home.
