David Gregory Stuteville, II, lost his battle with cancer on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at the age of 58. He was born on January 9, 1965, in France to parents David and Nancy Stuteville.   David had been a longtime resident of Foxhill and often shared that even though he wasn't born there, he felt he was a "Foxhillian".   One of his greatest passions was working the crab boats and taking long rides down Beach Road to Grandview to enjoy the view of the ocean.  David was a great carpenter and his family always said he had "million-dollar hands."

David was a great father, grandfather, son and brother.  "David, we love you and will miss you dearly; please give Shawnie a big hug from us and tell her that you took great care of her cat, Clyde."

Preceded in death by his father, David Gregory Stuteville and sister, Shawnie Stuteville; David leaves to cherish his memory, mother and father, Nancy and Mike O'Conner; son, Joseph Hambleton and wife, Becky; grandson, Noah Hambleton; sisters, Tina Roberts and husband Kevin, Anna Swall and husband Chris; and nephews Damian Jessup, Dillon Roberts,  Cody Salyers, Josh Swall and wife Molly, and Lance Stuteville; and great-nephews,  Keenan Salyers, Levi Salyers,  and Miles Swall.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6:30 PM on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, 245 S. Armistead Avenue, Hampton.  The service will be live streamed on the funeral home Facebook page for those that cannot attend.
