David L. Perkins, 82, died Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at the Hampton VA Medical Center Hospice. He moved his family to Hampton 36 years ago from Rhode Island. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, hunting, telling jokes, and talking about his Christian faith.

David is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lucille Ochs Perkins; two sons, Robert H. Perkins and Edward D. Perkins; his sister, Lillian Fraley; and his brother, Larry Perkins.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 20, 2018 at Hampton Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethel Baptist Church, 1647 Briarfield Road, Hampton, VA 23669 or a charity of your choice.
